What I ship

Build from scratch, take over something broken, or add AI to what's already running.

WordPress builds

Custom themes and plugins with ACF and Gutenberg blocks, WooCommerce stores, or builds in the page builder your team already uses: Elementor, WPBakery, Oxygen or Beaver Builder.

STACKPHPACFWOOCOMMERCEELEMENTORWPBAKERYOXYGENBEAVER BUILDER

Shopify stores

Figma designs turned into Online Store 2.0 themes, built with JSON templates, Liquid sections and blocks, and GSAP animations. Plus app setup and store fixes that keep checkout intact.

Audits & security

Read-only audits of live sites: theme code review with severity-rated findings, a full plugin inventory with the high-risk ones checked against known CVEs, and server setup mapped over SSH. You get a findings list and a written report that also lists anything left out of scope.

Performance & hosting

Diagnosing slow or overloaded WordPress sites: indexes for slow database queries, Redis and tiered transient caching, WP-Cron cleanup, Cloudflare cache invalidation and S3 media offload. On Cloudways, WP Engine or a bare VPS.

STACKMARIADBREDISCLOUDFLARES3

Migrations

Move a site between hosts with All-in-One WP Migration or WP-CLI, bring in content from CSV, XML or another platform with WP All Import, or rebuild a static, JS or Framer site as an editable WordPress install.

AI integrations

AI features wired into WordPress and Shopify with the OpenAI and Claude APIs: content and data processing, smart form routing and workflow automation. Next up: AI search and site chat built on your own content, on top of search I have already tuned for large publisher archives.

Goodshuffle rental catalog made searchable

ISSUE
Their 500+ rental props lived only inside the Goodshuffle widget, which gives search engines no page per item to index.
FIX
Built a sync plugin that creates a WordPress page for every Goodshuffle product and category: 520 product pages and 29 category pages, each with its own title, meta description and Yoast sitemap entry. Quotes still run through Goodshuffle.

Per-collection filters and shipping rules on Shopify

ISSUE
Every collection used the same Condition, Genre and Format filters, which made no sense for T-shirts, books or posters. Products from a new supplier also had to be ship-only while the rest of the store offered pickup.
FIX
Set up separate filters per collection, such as artist and venue for posters, and marked the new supplier products as shipping-only while every other product shows both shipping and in-store pickup.

Custom cache purger for a publishing site

ISSUE
New articles show up on the homepage, block-built pages and category archives at once, so each publish left stale copies in Cloudflare and in the local caches.
FIX
Built a cache purger plugin that runs on publish: it calls the Cloudflare API to purge the zone and clears whichever caching plugin is installed (Breeze, WP Rocket, LiteSpeed and others). Settings, a manual purge button and a log live under Tools.

Database CPU at 100%, site crawling

ISSUE
MariaDB saturated by an unindexed trending-articles table, a jammed WP-Cron queue and image-plugin lock contention.
FIX
Added a composite index to the article views table, cut it from 2.9 million rows to 281K with a daily cleanup job, and switched off Smush Pro to end its database lock contention. Then recovered a stalled S3 media offload.

Security audit on a Docker WordPress stack

ISSUE
A production WordPress site running in Docker behind Cloudflare needed an independent security review without disrupting the live server.
FIX
Mapped the PHP-FPM and nginx containers over SSH, reviewed the theme code (12 findings rated High to Low), inventoried 31 plugins and checked the high-risk ones against known CVEs. Delivered a findings list and a report that states its scope limits.

Calendar full of duplicate events

ISSUE
Google Calendar imports created two or three copies of every Fine Arts and Athletics event.

Habib was great to work with. He understood what we needed and executed quickly. After the first round of development we provided some feedback, including some minor changes in scope, which he accommodated quickly and within the original agreed up cost. Very fair. He also helped me learn how to implement a few aspects of the project that were beyond my technical understanding, he was patient and a helpful in his assistance with my limited knowledge.
